A vegan restaurant insists on calling “burger” to a bunch of squashed herbs
They call it “Burger viggie explosion” but it doesn’t have meat, only weed fighting against their own condition.
Jamaica.- According to several sources, Cookie Baker, a young man from Kingston, walked yesterday into the restaurant “The Asun’s grill”, without being aware that it was a vegetarian premise. Once inside, and after communicating his doubts to the staff, the waiters recommended him to order the vegan burger, because “it looks like a real burger and you can barely tell the difference”. After getting it, Baker could realize that, far from looking like a meat burger, “it was a lot of crushed herbs”.
“It was sickly, guess what they put of adornment: more herbs. Have you ever gone to a McDonalds where they put raw ripped meat to go with your burger?”, asked Baker, while pointing the small salad of tender buds that went with the plate. “They’re simply vegans and they like protecting animals but in order to make all these herbs they’d have had to kill a cow to take out of its stomach all of this half digested grass and I don’t know if these people are aware of all this.”.
The young man has also communicated to the press his doubts about the paradox of offering a plate that tries to be like another but, in exchange, reuse the original. “Guess what: they have vegan chorizo as well”.
“It doesn’t make sense. It doesn’t make any single sense” concluded Baker.
