Scientists advert: Lying about your age will make you die younger
More and more 60-year-old people die at 50.
Philippines.- The habit of people lying about their ages has become one of the main obstacles in the life expectancy of developed countries. This is confirmed by an inform by the World Health Organization (WHO) issued this morning and in it, scientists advert about something even more alarming: More and more 60-year-old people die at 50.
“The world has given big steps in the reduction of unnecessary suffering and premature deaths because of diseases that can be prevented and treated”, said the Dr. Margaret Chan, General Director of the WHO. She kept going: “But the world sanitary coverage hasn’t still been able to eradicate a pathology more and more extended: Flirting”, claimed the expert.
The organization considers that the practice of taking years off your life, (which in many cases appears shyly, subtracting two or three years to the real age, by anyway ends up by subtracting ten years) goes beyond the sanitary scope and becomes an epidemic of social significance.
