Man Burns His Eyes After Trying To Watch The Eclipse Through His Telescope
Some people have a bit of trouble thinking.
Tennessee.— A man burned his eyes after trying to watch the solar eclipse directly through his telescope, local authorities reported. The 31-year old man, whose will remain hidden, didn’t have a chance to get eclipse glasses, so he tried to use his telescope instead.
“He burned his cornea and retina. He won’t be able to see again with his right eye”, said the doctor. He kept going: “Even thought scientists usually warn people that they shouldn’t watch solar eclipses without special glasses, this guy did it, and took it to a whole new level”.
“I was home alone, in the ceiling. I really wanted to see the eclipse, but I didn’t have the glasses, so I tried my telescope”, said the man to our reporter Gary Cockburn who was in the hospital.
The mother of the man refused to talk.
The man is currently recovering, although he won’t be able to see again with that eye.
